Description:
The aim of this programme is to bring within the YCDO portals different sections, therefore onto a global platform stories, information and value from local communties and realities and to engage young people of local communities in the scope facilitating the meaningful participation of young people within the portal.
All those interested can contribute in diverse ways:
- Providing information for the events, organizations, opportunities sections related to their local communities
- Showcasing important ICT4D policy documents linked to their local communities
- Reporting from events held in their local communities
- engaging young people of their cities within the YCDO community
- analyzing trends realted to the communitys growth and structure
- moderating discussion boards
- provide advice on the future development of ycdo.net
- provide input on the portal from a users perspective
Objectives:
Besides the aim of enriching - directly with the contributions of its community members - the content on local communities within the YCDO portal the volunteers programme is thought with the scope of creating a network of virtual volunteers that together will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in content, provide concrete input to the future development of the portal, data and information management and reporting results and trends, therefore favouring professional growth and experience.
