Student Support Units for SL schools!

Dear Members,
I'm very interested in introducing "student support units" for our schools, which can be dealing with advicing students of their future goals, employment,studies or options in their lives.Even though some of our leading schools have "psychological units" to support students, it has not been dealing with all the youth problems.Our students need some guidence in their lives.When students are faced with the bitter truth of not been able to continue to Advanced Levels, there should be some guidence the school can provide, at least the student should be shown the options they can have in life with the education level they have recieved. The best people here to advice them is no one else other than teachers who know the true situation of the students.Also these units can play a major role in teaching students "the value of life", when many take comfort in suicide even for the slightest mistake, dissapointment or pain.We should fight against the suicide rate in Sri Lanka with these units.
To implement these units, maybe we should talk to Lion's Clubs of the areas as they can be highly influential, or youth organizations which can visit schools and advice them of the importance of having such units.We need people who understand the true value of "Student Support Units" , who can work with us to carry out our plans.
I welcome anyone who has some ideas as to how to make this project more successful.
