Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) has been supporting people with disabilities in Vietnam since 1994. Rehabilitation projects originally focused on treatment and assistive devices such as braces and excluded efforts to ensure that the rehabilitated individual had support to integrate into the community.
To improve this and increase sustainability of rehabilitation program, VVAF launched a new project
