Second email i got from a streaming provider
You don't really need any equipment to broadcast Live. Our encoder will stream any audio you have going through the soundcard on the computer. Makradio is a larger setup and has built a studio to handle his broadcast. If you wanted you could start with just our encoder or even purchase a small mixing board for added audio management. To broadcast you just need a PC/Mac 500 mhz or better with a soundcard, and a high speed internet connection.
You could have remote broadcasters connect to stream Live from different locations, but they would need to have your username/password information. They could download the encoder and broadcast whenever you would like. Keep in mind that they would theoretically be able to view your billing info so you would need to trust these users. Also, there is not a way to seamlessly 'hand-off' the broadcast. Meaning if you have broadcaster A streaming live and it was time for broadcaster B's show there would be downtime as A disconnected and B connected.
The only software you really need is our software which comes free with the broadcast account. Depending on how advanced you would like to get there is other high end software and hardware that could help you. A mixing board and second PC are really a help.
To get started we would need the Rate Card and Broadcaster Agreement filled out and faxed in along with the setup fee and first month's payment.

Not sure if we can find an exact match with what you are trying to do. With your Live365 broadcast account you could have broadcasters from different countries connect and broadcast, but you would not have a way to do this seamlessly. In other words, a remote broadcaster would need to turn off their live broadcast and another broadcaster would need to turn on the encoder to start up. This would result in at least a few seconds of time when listeners would be dropped.
You could always have broadcasters upload the show and have them play in playlist format straight from the Live365 server. The broadcast accounts have both abilities, live and looped, but you can't have both going at the same time. Only a single broadcast can be running through a server at any given time. To have more than one going at the same time you would need to purchase two broadcast accounts.
I've attached our Royalty Included Rate Card and our Broadcaster Agreement. These are the forms that we would need filled out and faxed in to us in order to get started.
