Tribes Africa - uniting every man, every tribe and every nation in AFRICA

Mission Statement:
A tribe is the last definition of a person's root. Long before the coming of civilization of man and independence of nations, man lived according to ribes. It was the tribes in different locations that came together to form nations. Today, the conflicts in many regions of he world have tribal undertones. The unity of any nation lies in the unity of the tribes that make up that nation. Lets stop looking down on the other man's tribe rather lets celebrate his uniqueness. Simply put, all tribes are equal. Hence, the unity of all the tribes in Africa means peace in Africa - a true reflection of the spirit of African Unionism.
Tribes Africa is a celebration of the cultural and ethnic diversity of Africa. It involves Africans dressing in their native attires and taking pictures with it. We intend to build a web site out of all the pictures sent in from all the tribes in Africa. It also involves Africans taking pictures of themselves while preparing of their local dishes and sending in their recipes so that it can be published on Tribes Africa. Participants can also send in their native proverbs translated into english for publishing.The official launching of the web site will involve the gathering of people from all the tribes in Africa, all dressed in their native attires. That day will be celebrated all over Africa as Tribes Africa Day in line with the spirit of African Unionism. It will be a day to Think Africa, Talk Africa and Look African!
Goals:
To unite Africans from the roots.
To identify what makes us African.
To cherish, celebrate and preserve Africanism.
Needs:
We need project coordinators for each country.
We need project marketers for each counry.
We need sponsors who will advertise on the site.
We need experts in web development and information architecture.
We need photo-journalists.
We need an ISP that will offer us web hosting facility.
We need online content editors.
We need the advise and assistance of members of TIG world wide.
We need a good and experienced graphic artist to design the official logo of Tribes Africa.

To feature your tribe on Tribes Africa all you have to do is to send in a full portrait photograph[5 x 7] of yourself fully dressed in your native attire accompanied with your name, tribe and counry and a short essay of not more than 250 words titled, "Why I love my tribe" to effyzzi@yahoo.com. For those sending in their native proverbs please do so to the same email along side with your name, tribe and country. Every tribe in Africa is to be represented by a male and a female on Tribes Africa web site. We welcome your ideas and involvements. Thanks.
