I am so proud of those who participated in the Forum Theatre training course PATH - Malta has delivered during the past hot summer months.
The course ended up with four public performances in the streets of a small village. The audience - or spectactors as Augusto Boal call it - participated actively in the discussions that followed the performance. Audience members were brave enough to join the "oppressed" actors on "stage" and assist them in their venture to get what was theirs by right.
Well done to the actors...and the audience.
But this is not the end. I will be delivering an intensive course in Forum Theatre in Portugal to young people from Portugal, Belgium, Croatia and Serbia who will be participating in a youth exchange during the month of October 2002.

The course is coming to an end. It seems that the participants have been enjoying it, and also learned a lot about Fourm Theater. They were exposed to several techniques, some as shown to me, some other modified or even new ones I have developed as time went by.
The next step will be four performances for the general public in four different areas of the small village were the participants come from. The dates are 11th, 12, 16th and 18th September.

The actual training will start on Monday 22nd July, 2002.
The date for the four or five public performances have not been fixed as yet. But they will be held some time between the 10th and the 20th of September.

Until now we had two very intensive preparatory meetings. The trunover of "actors" interested in participating was astonishing. I have never expected such a huge number of people.
A course in Forum Theater techniques will be delivered to all those interested where during the workhops we will learn and discuss about issues relevant to the locality.
This training course will start on July 15th, and is expected to last for 40 contact hours. Following that, we will hit the road!!!
