Founded in 1992,Carrier Link Youth has been an influential force in the youth work movement for more than 13 years.
The organisation began life as the 'National Organisation of Girls Clubs', with the original purpose of supporting clubs for women factory workers.
Reflecting the changes in society and the lives of young people, the organisation became the 'National Association of Girls Clubs and Mixed Clubs' (1995) and later re-named itself the 'National Association of Youth Clubs' (1999). In the year 2000 Charity became known as Youth Clubs Nigeria.
Objectives:
We work with children, their families and communities to build a world where children are safe, healthy and capable of realising their full potential. Over the last 7 years our core focus has not changed; children remain at the heart of everything we do.
Needs:
Our work with young people can and does make a lasting impact by encouraging young people to take responsibility and become involved citizens. It gives a voice to people who are too rarely heard and builds skills that will remain useful throughout their lives
