Description:
Redfern Waterloo Street Team (RWST) is an outreach program that has Department of Community Services as the lead agency and is funded by the Premiers Department through the Redfern Waterloo Partnership Project.
Objectives:
RWST meet with children and young people who frequent public places and may be at risk or involved in risk taking activities. RWST provides advice, support and links it's client group with other programs such as counselling, recreation and other activities in the area. There is a mix of staff to reflect the diversity of the area (aboriginal & non-aboriginal, male & female) with a range of skills to meet the needs within the area, including child protection & drug & alcohol knowledge. RWST operates seven days a week.
