Then DESPLAY 07” Pass-It-On program” is for you!!!
Democracy series: Participation – Learning and Action Youths (DESPLAY) – Is a mind changing knowledge-based and activity oriented project for young people that fosters active youth involvement in building sustainable democracy and good governance in Nigeria and Africa at large.
DESPLAY project is a project initiated by YOUNGSTARS FUNDATION, JOS, Plateau State, Nigeria and facilitated in Oyo State by LOCAL YOUTH ASSEMBLY OF NIGRIA and INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR VOLUNTEER EFFORTS.
During the pass-it-on Program (PiO), selected participants are expected to gain knowledge on areas like understanding democracy leadership, wealth creation, MDGs, volunteering anti-corruption and good governance that fosters Youth participation as right and responsibility, how to become a democrat of record ,serving people and reflections on leadership
. The 15 participants from 15selected Local Government Areas of 3 Senatorial District of Oyo State shall pass on the knowledge gained to another 10 persons each making 150 young people across 3 Senatorial District of Oyo State to gain from the programs.
To apply:
Young people between the ages to 18-27 years residing in any of the following Local Government Areas of Oyo State: Akinyele, Egbeda, Ibadan North, Ibadan-North East, Ibadan North-West; Ibadan-South-West, Ibadan South-East, Ido, Lagelu, Oluyole, Ona-Ara.
All interested participants should send the following via email or postal Address on or before 15th January 2007.
: An application letter stating why you are interested in DESPLAY Pass –It-On Program
: You CV or Resume with a passport size photograph attached
: A 2-page essay on an aspect of interests that concerns you about Nigeria or national issues.
Participation fee: FREE
Selected participants shall be informed by the 22nd of January 2007.
The Pass-It-On-Program which is scheduled to hold by 27th January 2007.
