International Youth Development Network is a youth organization whose main objective is to support and promote youth development initiatives.
Background:
With IYDN, Youth development is a process of mental, physical, social and emotional growth during which young people prepare to live a productive and satisfying life within the customs and regulations of their society. Hence, the hypothesis is that an individual with a strong and well developed personality, given a conducive policy environment and supportive social systems, would be able to make and stand by informed/concrete decisions especially regarding behavior (sexual or other). Being successful in making and standing by correct behavioral decisions leads to willingness to show concern for developing values essential for responsible living. Within our basic policy and programming response, we ensure that we:
! Ensuring access to information and skills training people to protect them from HIV.
! Ensure quality and equal
! Ensure that they are self reliant (income generating activities)
! Proper utilization of available resources
! Giving Equal opportunities for young women and men
! Improving/enhancing creativity among the young people
Objectives:
GOALS: To empower the marginalized youths with assertive and development skills.
MISSION: To address social economic problems in the society that affects the young people

3. The organisation of the UN Habitat Governing council - Youth Forum
