FREEDOM
Hey Hey! FREEDOM in D.C.
So, last night, the D.C. Anti- War Network AKA D.A.W.N. as well as other groups, hosted an event for the Band of Hope here in D.C. at a place called BOSSA BISTRO. The turn out was great, the music was great, the event was overall goodness! So thanks for all the support everybody!
Next, this Friday (July 11th) we will participate in a rally to "REPEAL THE ACT AND STOP THE ATTACKS!" at Dupont Circle here in D.C. this should be a pretty large event and has me sitting on the edge of my seat with anticipation. Following that, on Saturday the 19th we are inviting everyone to come out and finish our walk into D.C. with us, followed by a Band of Hope rally on the 20th. Hope to see you there!!!

From D.C. this IS Freedom! Stay tuned for the specific schedule of events planned in D.C. As of yet here is the plan:
Thurs/Fri 3&4th of July- Last 25 mi. to mall in D.C. for fireworks!
Mon-Wed. 7-9th- community outreach in D.C. neighborhoods!
Tues July 8th- Meet and Greet the walkers hosted by D.A.W.N (D.C. Anti-War Network)
Wed/Thurs(pm) 9th&10th Local presentations
Thurs (daytime) Tableing at local universtiy T.B.A.
Also Fri (daytime) Local tableing.
AND SATURDAY JULY 12th END OF THE WALK RALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This event will start at Dupont Circle in D.C. and possibly migrate to other places (wink-wink)
Again, stay tuned for further updates on exact times and places for each of the above listed events!

Greetings from Columbia, South Carolina! Only 3 states to go! It's been rainy for the past couple of days but I've found it to be refreshing (coming from the desert). We now know why it is so green here. : ) Everybody is doing well and our bodies are running great. Thanks for the support everybody!

It's been a little while since any updates... the group (now 4 walking and 1 advance team) is now in Tallahassee, Florida. We are planning to be in D.C. on July 4 for a rally... stay tuned for more info.

Greetings from Beaumont, Texas... We are almost done with our month in Texas (it's been really great and the people have been very supportive. The mosquitos and humidity are going to take some adjusting to, but all in all things are going great! See ya' in LA!
