dear nousha, i realy apreciats your depress and for sure all egypian people share you that feeling but it needs to stop and littel thinking :
what will we do as being just like that?? what can we do if we let our selvs to their anger not thinking whats better to our country , i realy think that it wii bo wors than reellecting him .iam not optemestic but let let every thing that is imposible and try to work hard to chang any thing we can do for our country we cant let our anger distroy us and our dream.
so reelecting him or not isnt our issue but our issue to remedy all the mistaks we see to be posotive persons in our societies
i hope u understood me and i think we can do lots for our country if we realy love it
thanks

well ofcourse u're right abdel rahman concerning working for our country and doing the best we can - it's the main thing - but also we have to fight for our rights to have a democractic system which we don't have right now
this thread is only to c how many people r satisfied with the system - it doesn't mean that if it didn't change we won't continue doing our best for our country
good governance is a very important factor in achieving human development and without fighting (in a peaceful way ofcourse) for our rights we won't be able to have human development in our country.
This discussion and any other is mainly abt exchanging opinions - maybe i was so cynical in my post so that u got the impression of me being very angry or something and putting that as my priority which isn't true
yalla that's all - anyway it's important not to do something u don't believe in even if it's the only choice and the traditional one - that's what i hope everyone understand

first of all ..i wanna thank u nousha for posting such topic.. its really a good n hot issue and a good vote. as for me... i totally agree with what u both said concerng the idea of choosing the better for our country and working for it. i 'm also for what u nousha said about the changing . we really have to change. u know basis of the presedential term must be limited, and even if it not we have to give the chance for other person to serve Egypt andto introduce new thought regardless that the existing president is good or not. but also if we r sure that the other choice is worst, so its a must then to stay as we r !
and u have to know that there is what is worst than this and u can ask about the person who is intending to go into the coming elections who is living in swizerland 30 years ago and who intends to get everyting in Egypt upside down ..just ask about him and his programme !

hello eveyone,
well i'm really glad to talk in thsi hot issue coz u know in egypt and also most af the arab countries these issues are prohibited, anyway i guess that the wrong isn't in the long term of mubarak the wrong is in the compulsory mubarak, i mean if we choosed him for that long period it's ok but he can't obligate us to choose him .
democratic countries don't say always that they are democratic countries only countries like ours do so and they do so because they know that there is a lake in democracy and so i guess i'll not elect him ever again despite that i know that he will be elected but i'll feel that i did what i'm supposed to do .. thanks

I would elect him, simply because I do not know how to elect someone else, I do not mean that I do not know the procedures. But we Egyptians have not been part of the system for so long, and did not experience how to choose for our Presidency. The way they are giving us Democracy now I find it so humilating, either in the well-tailored modifications of the Election Law, the candidates and the elections campaigns. So, I would either for voting for him- coz he is the only option I have or boycotting it till they are done with having a social reform educating our 40% illiterate Egyptian to have true elections.

u mean me as a person or me as an egyption citizen an egy... well i guess high goals r real high to an egyption waiting in line to ve loaf of bread comming as a donation and veing a fight with others although they r suffreing from the same pressure his solution is to fight the others not to play as one team against the pressusre
