I work for the Scout Movement and the Scouts in Kenya are playing a very big role in ensuring that the enviroment is maintained and at its best....Scouts in Kenya are planting 10 million trees in designated areas. Every Scout will plant and care for at least 36 trees!
The trees will be planted over a three-year period in water catchment areas, semi-arid regions, recreation areas, institutions, and homes. Tree nurseries will be established.
The project will improve the environment for all of society as well as for wildlife. It will increase water volume for domestic consumption, reduce human to human, and human to wildlife conflict, and reduce poverty in society.
The Kenyan Scouts are also involved in a public awareness programme of providing advocacy on tree planting and care.

The youth who shall inherit not only the leadership and good things done by those in power but also the mistakes .Therefor we should not seat back and let kenya s forest angd vegetation slowly and painfully diminish as we are too young to take part .instead we should be a ddriving powerful force to restore by planting as many trees for our future and for our children! kenya has forest covering of only 2% which is far below the required 10 %, but we can do it a step a day!

Many a times we wander whether the MDGs will be fulfilled in time. This is possible, however, their should be concerted efforts and inclusion of the youth in the process of these achievement. What we should ask ourselves is this, "Have we done enough as the youths to become part and parcel of the process?." By doing enough, I mean getting involved without being give anything to stimulate our efforts. This project, therefore seeks to help the youths see the need to come together as volunteers to help achieve this noble GOAL. It is my entire hope that we will rise to the occasion to plant as many trees as possible.
This is a mist watch for those who want to play a part to help solve Climate Change. I made it to promote the fight against Climate Change.
