Description:
The International Young Professionals HIV and AIDS Network (IYPHAN) launched under the aegis of the International Young Prpfessionals Foundation (IYPF). It is an HIV and AIDS focussed global network for young professionals and or their organisations.
In response to the devastating human tragedy crisis, HIV and AIDS, the network is geared to offering an effective and efficient forum for coordinaation of young proffessionals` initiatives at a global level.
Objectives:
OUR VISION - To be a leading, progressive, unique and difference-making global youth led HIV & AIDS Network with vibrance and dynamism, offering ethical and responsive services to its members and youth in general thereby effectively strenghtening their response to HIV and AIDS.
OUR MISSION - To coordinate, facilitate and promote the cooperation and collaboration of Young Professionals in the fight against HIV and AIDS as regards initiatives in the areas of information sharing, resource mobilisation, capacity building as well as lobbying and advocacy.
OUR VALUES - Professionalism, transparency, efficiency, effectiveness, progressiveness and determinition with undivided dedication and commitment for meaningful and effective youth empowerment and participation in the ongoing global fight against the global paandemic, HIV and AIDS.
OUR OBJECTIVES
* to lobby, advocate and facilitate for the active participation or representation of our membership in regional or global HIV and AIDS focused and or related fora or policy making, implementation and evaluation, paying particular attention to the intergration of gender issues in all apects of our programming.
* To develop and maintain a membership database across the globe.
* To facilitate access to and sharing of essential, accurate and non judgemental information amongst network members.
* To facilitate resource mobilisation for members, promoting sustainable and efficient utilisation of HIV and AIDS resources.
* To facilitate for member`s capacity building through training or technical support
Needs:
* Members to share information, resources, and ideas on combating HIV & AIDS.
* Members to write articles for the IYPF newsletter to inform and inspire young professionals to contribute to the fight against the pandemic of HIV & AIDS
All difference-making young professionals and/or their organiastions who prescribe to our vision, mission, values and or strategic objectives whether wholly or partially are encouraged to join. Young women and or their organisations are especially encouraged to participate.
