Happy New Year!
I start this with wishing that 2008 brings you and yours peace, fulfillment and accomplishment.
Over the past 2 years the YES Campaign Head quarters has gone through a major revamp.
From strategy to structure, and even our name has changed (Youth Employment Systems). Please visit www.yesweb.org for more information.
First thing this year I urge you to
1. Contribute your views, events and projects to the egroup http://groups.takingitglobal.org/yesnigeria. TIG has seriously improved thier portal and its really in the facebook and myspace age now. Please visit it. Use it!
2. Invite 5 persons/organizations to join our egroup
3. Head to TIG and reconfirm your membership. To fix excessive spam TIG launched a reconfirmation exercise. Those of you still getting this mail obviously reconfirmed. If any of your colleagues wonder why they dont get updates.... now you know why. Tell them to reconfirm.
4. Participate in our employment policy project. http://projects.takingitglobal.org/YESNigeria What does the needs to be done to ensure youth unemployment is history? Tell us.
5. Update your TIG profiles. Very often Im asked to send contacts of resource persons and youth focused organizations and poorly defined profiles hinder me from doing so. Increase your capacity to make and impact... update your profile... tell the world who you are and what you do.
I look forward to a blessed and impactful year. One events and opportunities post coming up soonest.
