DYT post, an opportunity

This is in reference to the article "DYT post say unattractive say graduates" published in the kuensel issue of April 27.

Youths are the present and the future wealth of our country and well-educated and trained population gives a county enormous potential for economic and social development.

It is of utmost importance that our youths are given proper guidance so that they take up this scared responsibility of pushing forward the country to socio-economic development with greater ability and coinfidence.

A fresh graduate has only completed his formal education and therefore he or she still lack skills and experience.

Since young people represent the next generation, their involvement in the grass root level is important since this is where they will gain hands in skills and experience.

Working as a secretary to the DYT chairman is an pportunity for the graduates to interact and educate the local community. These valuable lessons will empower the graduates to participate and contribute to the policy-making process. They can act as a bridge between the local community and the decision makers. They can assist the local government with research and implementation of action plans to benefit the local community and the nation at large.

If you want to improve your tennis games, you train with good tennis players.

It is the same with a job. If one wants to succeed, one should start working with the peopleat the grass root level and get prepared to shoulder crucial responsibilites, working with rural leaders and the general population.

At this crucial hours of rapid development, it is high time that the graduates rethink their strategies and give a second thought to such a wonderful opportunity which they are missing due to misconception of the post.
