Description:
Paajaf – has launch out into the remote rural settlements to have community talks on childcare issues, prevention of common diseases, the value of women and girl child education and have set up some literacy classes with adults and school dropout to bring street children to school and formal education and to educate the illiterate populace to the knowledge about health issues e.g: malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, cancer, tuberculosis, hiv/aids, hepatitis B etc. and we have also networked children of school going age to share information and ideas, that young people have the opportunity to celebrate their own culture and learn about those of other as well as sharing Paajaf protects idea. The projects are carrying on at Gbawe-Greater Accra and Benkasa near Sunyani in the Brong Ahalfo Region of Ghana.

Background:
The project of Orphans, Other Vulnerable Children, Women and Health Issues in Ghana, it is the initiative of PAAJAF FOUNDATION. Paajaf is a humanitarian services for orphans and other needy children, support women and girls who are drop out of school through voluntary child and adult literacy classes, care and support through vocational and ICT training to develop skills and capacity building. It is also aimed of creating awareness and preventing certain communicable diseases like malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, cancer, tuberculosis, hiv/aids, hepatitis B and other tropical diseases. It is also geared toward eliminating social vices and teenage pregnancies through its training, support and care programme. Philip Kyei Appiah and Juliet Adusei set it up and at the heart of Paajaf, is the desire to provide these services voluntarily to enable these people live in peace.

·To become a leading resource centre for providing charitable services to needy children and women in Ghana.

MISSION STATEMENT

·To provide information and education; regarding children’s rights, adult education/literacy training for women and girls.

·To provide education and information to foster orphans and other vulnerable children.
·To educate people on discrimination against orphans and other vulnerable children
·To equip the women and the female youths with vocational skills/handiworks.

·HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness and education, Cancer, Hepatitis B etc. care and support.

·To provide practical and social support for orphans, women and other vulnerable children.

·To research policies covering the orphans, children and women in local, district, national and international levels.



Budget:
BUDGET STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2008

1. BUDGET OBJECTIVE

·To provide scholarship to children and youth in need in our communities and church at Gbawe and Benkasa in Ghana, especially orphans and dropout who wanted to go to school or continue their education.

·To enable youth in our communities and church who wanted to have vocational/skills training to be trained.

·To provide adult literacy education to our parents who can to read and write to be able to read and write so that they can attached seriousness to their wards education

·To locate an office for the foundation

·Land acquisition for the Paajaf Adult and Children literacy and education programme

·To purchase educational materials, syllabus development for the adult literacy education and office equipments.


2.BUDGET OUTLOOK AND ASSUMPTIONS


The following assumptions form the basis of preparation of the year 2008 budget. Cost control measures will be enforced to ensure cut in recurrent expenditure. The implications of national economy and credible predictions have been factored into.

The key capital expenditure of the foundation in the year 2008 will be on acquisition of land for adult and children literacy and education programme, scholarship to 143 orphans and needy children and youth to school, Ten (10) Apprenticeship scholarships to youth who can not go to school but want to be trained in vocational skills, office equipment, educational materials and syllabus development for the adult education.


3. BUDGETED INCOME

The total income of $100,000 has been projected for year 2008.

An amount of $ 15,700 has been projected as recurrent expenditure which includes the following:

Needs:
We are determined to work in collaboration with any originations internationally and persons; we require assistance of health personnel, supply of logistics including drugs, computers, teachers, volunteers and funds.
