ICT connectivity in Sierra Leone April 25, 2007 @ 07:51 PM
I am the only outsider in this team so far and ill take advantage of that to ask a very SL-specific question. This project aims at running activity all evolving around the use of ICTs and that, in as many rural and urban region within the country. How realistic is that in regards to you ICT infrastructure and connectivity? Do youth that live outside the capital or major city have access to.. lets say, computers and an internet access?
Will youth that are trained in 'remote' regions have somewhat of an access/connectivity once their are trained or familiarized with ICT tools? Will they be able to use their gained knowledge and skills on their own, to bring to life their own initiatives through the technologies?
